Internship Profile

Digby Turner | Intern Engineer

As an Engineering student at the University of Canterbury, getting hands-on experience in a professional consulting firm was something I was really looking forward to, and McKenzie & Co has helped provide that opportunity. From day one, I’ve had the chance to work alongside senior staff including the directors on major projects, gaining exposure to the kind of strategic thinking and collaboration that you can’t always learn in a lecture theatre. It’s been a rewarding learning curve, and I’ve felt genuinely supported and included in the process.

Beyond the work, I’ve really enjoyed being part of the team culture, especially the lunchtime pool tournaments, which have brought out everyone’s competitive side (mine included). Thanks to everyone at McKenzie & Co for making this such a valuable and enjoyable experience. I’m in my final year now and my studies have been complimented with new skills, great memories, and a much clearer sense of where I want to take my career.
