Clayton McKenzie recognised with Land Development Award

We’re proud to celebrate McKenzie & Co founder and Managing Director Clayton McKenzie, who has been recognised with the Land Development Award for Outstanding Service at the Survey and Spatial New Zealand Awards.

The award recognises Clayton’s contribution to the land development industry and his longstanding commitment to the profession. With a career spanning almost three decades, Clayton has been involved in land development across New Zealand since 1996, working alongside developers, councils, consultants and communities to help deliver better places.

Since founding McKenzie & Co in 2014, Clayton has grown the business from its Auckland beginnings into a national team of more than 120 people, with expertise spanning civil engineering, surveying and spatial, project management, and planning and advisory services.

For Clayton, the recognition is not simply about an individual achievement. It reflects the people and relationships behind the business and the work delivered by the wider McKenzie & Co team.

“It was an amazing event and evening, to be recognised alongside colleagues and peers. But I felt this award was largely due to the team behind McKenzie & Co and not my individual efforts alone.”

That team has continued to grow alongside the business, with McKenzie & Co now working across projects throughout New Zealand and an expanding regional presence in both the North and South Islands.

Our purpose is to develop great places and people, and Clayton’s approach to the industry has been central to building a business around that purpose.
